I just scared my sister AGAIN.
And I didn't even mean to.
I went into her room to tell her to let me know when she wants to go for dinner
I didn't even go in QUIETLY.
I went in saying: LEAH!
she was swiveling in her chair and she didnt hear
cause she was listening to her MP3
and so I said even louder!
but she still didn't hear.
soon after, she swivelled hard enough and saw me standing behind her and....
Leah: AHHHHH!!! JIE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING BEHIND ME!
me: to tell you to come tell me when you are ready to go for dinner
Leah: DON'T EVER SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN!
i wasn't even trying.
couldn't stop laughing after that.
its fun to scare her. :D

I have been 'studying'.
Having less to study for is not giving me enough pressure to study.
This is bad.
But after exams are over, there are so many things I want to do!!!
1. GO SHOPPING!
I have deprived myself for long enough. The last time I shopped was threadless. which was A MONTH AGO!!! how terrible.
2. GO TO AUSTRALIA!!
DEBORAH YAP! YOU CANNOT GO WITHOUT ME!
I have so many things I want and NEED to buy from brisbane...
And I want to see Simba and Bella and Nathanael and Jeremiah and Aaron...
3. GO TANNING.
I've have never been this fair. I blame it on the terrible weather. I was suppose to get tanner during wakeboarding but NO. It HAD to rain. sigh.
4. SIT AT SOME COFFEE HOUSE AND RELAX.
Now, all visits to coffee bean and starbucks involve the laptop, studying, and assignments. This makes these wonderful places conditioned stimulus for stress. definitely no good.
5. EXERCISE.
Joseph has promised to go exercise with me after my exams. YAY! finally going to lose some flab.
6. GO AUSTRALIA!
oh. have I said that already?
7. WORK.
We all need money to do most of the above.. so work I'll have to do.
I feel like I'm writing an essay outline.
BACK TO MY BOOKS.
STUDY! X 6

Isn't she lovely
Isn't she lovely
Isn't she wonderful
Isn't she precious
Less than one minute old
I cant believe what God has done
Through us hes given life to one
But isn't she lovely made from love
Isn't she pretty
Truly the angels best
Boy, I'm so happy
We have been heaven blessed
I can't believe through love we'd be
Making one as lovely as she
But isn't she lovely made from love
Isn't she pretty
Life and love are the same
Life is Aisha
The meaning of her name
Well darling, it could have not been done
Without you who conceived the one
That's so very lovely made from love
AWESOME
Once again, God proves to be AWESOME.
just as I stumble onto the youtube clips on atheism and course of miracles or whatever thing Oprah is promoting, I receive a timely assurance.
I subscribe to this christian radio station website
Go to Air1.com if you want to subscribe too.
ANYWAY, they send me daily verses
And guess what was today's verse?
"Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father
except through me." John 14:6, NLT
And there you have it.
Coincidence? Let's have the guy in the video who loves calculating chance to calculate the chances of quoting this particular verse on this particular day.

I think I got the cold.
Though maybe its just the dust.
In the past 5 minutes, I have sneezed almost 10 times already.
Lydia's got the flu too.
Maybe the illness is genetic.
Cause we are in two different environments but both of us who have similar genetical make up are down with the flu.
Just kidding.
After so many chapters, my text is finally getting interesting.
And so I shall let loose the geek in me and end with a quote from it.
If everything is a mental illness, then nothing is a mental illness. -David C. Funder.

Does God exist?
Yesterday, I couldn't sleep and I went on youtube.
I chanced upon this video on atheism.
Basically, it is a story of this guy who used to be a Christian.
A friend of his asked many questions about his faith and he found himself doubting his own faith.
Soon, he became an atheist.
This long standing debate between whose religion is right and whether there is or isn't a God always made me wonder WHY people even argue.
Of course there is a need to defend your own faith.
But then, I really don't see why we need to.
As a Christian, I believe that our job isn't to convince other people that God is real, or that Jesus is real..
We just need to tell them what we know about God.
that's it.
Our salvation isn't dependent on how many people we convert to Christianity
Or how many answers you know to questions about Christianity and the Bible
Or how we prove that the Bible and God are real.
Or ANYTHING that we do.
Jesus only said: Whosoever BELIEVES in Me shall have everlasting life.
All we need to do is believe. period.
And just for the record, IF, and I mean a BIG if, the atheists are right then when we die, we will all end up in the same place.
But then, if we ARE right, and Jesus is God, then we who believe will have the eternal life.
That said, I believe not just because I have a higher chance of being right.
I believe because He is real in my life.. (as I have said many many MANY times before. )
On another note, Ben's sermon was good today because his second point was:
God's holiness is AWESOME. ie. my favourite word. :)

I know I haven't been blogging.. but there isn't much to blog about...
Its been assignment after assignment and deadline after deadline lately..
And the fact that I have to write a 20 page report in less than 2 weeks is frustrating..
I also have this headache that has been in my head since yesterday.
Panadol will just make me sleepy and then I cannot do any work so I'm not taking it.
But one can expect me to become really stressed especially since exams are drawing near and I have a presentation and a paper due next week and then another paper due the week after just before the start of exams.
However, today God decided to surprise me.
He sent someone to encourage me.
Sometimes I feel a bit perverted for wanting hard times..
But its during these really trying times that I appreciate the little things God does for me..
He never fails to amaze me.
He's my favourite word: AWESOME. :)

Origin:Germanic
Meaning:Work; effort; strain
Origin:Hebrew
Meaning:Work of the Lord
Amelia is actually derived from two names: "Emilia," a Latin name meaning "rival," and "Amalia," a Germanic name meaning "work" or "labor." Henry Fielding popularized this name with his novel "Amelia" in 1751. More recently, the name took center stage in the "Amelia Bedelia" children's book series.
It was also the name of several British princesses in the 18th century - Princess Amelia Sophia was the daughter of George II, and the youngest of George III's fifteen children was named Amelia.
"Amelia" is also the term for a birth defect in which a child is born without limbs, from the Greek prefix "a-" ("none") and the word "melea" ("limbs"). (what!!wow!!)
Amelia Earhart was an aviatrix, she was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She later disappeared on an attempt to circumnavigate the globe.
The name is particularly popular in England and Wales, where it was the 10th most popular name in 2007.
-Adapted from here
because mark and I became bored and started to look for the meanings of the names of everyone in our CG.

Where is our heart in worship?
When will worship truly stop being about the music?
Friday, when Ros signaled for just the voices, R kept on playing.
He couldn't stop.
To him, It didn't sound right if there wasn't any music.
It was until Ros said explicitly: NO music. JUST the voices. NO music AT ALL.
and after I told him with GIANT GESTURES to stop playing that he stopped.. reluctantly.
And then I hear people saying after worship: The music was great today!
And see sentences like: I was enthralled by the music at worship today! in their blogs.
What happened to: I experienced God in worship today!
What would happen if all you had was your voice and hands?
Would we still be able to worship?
would people stop coming to church?
sometimes I want the music to become really bad just so that people can forget about coming to church for worship because of good music.
But that wont be giving our utmost best for Him...
Without God, Music becomes meaningless sound waves.
Lord, may I go deaf, blind, mute or die before worship becomes anything else other than You.
