Having my sisters around is so much more fun.
It TOTALLY feels like a holiday now.
LOVES it.
We planned to take lots of pictures but were too excited to see each other and to spend time shopping and all that we forgot.
I shall post one of my boots soon!

Summer Heat

Orientation was a waste of time today.
Tmw, we have a whole day of orientation, all the way till 5.
I hope it's of much better use.
Came home in the afternoon and vacuumed the place and did the laundry.
One thing I realized is that here, if no one initiates, nothing will get done.
The laundry basket was overflowing so I decided that since I have the rest of the day free, I shall do the laundry.
Once I turn it on, the rest come running asking me if I'm doing the laundry.
DUH? oh. Actually I'm sleeping in the laundry room.
I spent more than an hour on beth moore.
The Laundry only takes about half an hour to wash.

I came out from the room after doing Beth Moore and realized the laundry is done.
So I inferred that when the washing machine rang signaling it's done, everyone out there just sat at their places doing their own stuff.
I opened the back door to hang the laundry out.
THEN everyone comes running to help to hang the laundry.

For the past 2 days, E and A have been complaining about the amount of hair there is around and all the dust and dirt.
But anything done? no.
So before they complain summore, I vacuum.

sigh.
Autumn! Come soon! I blame the summer heat for all this Heat in me.

Bimboland

I just watched this CD that watchamacallit made me..
such sweet kids :)

ANYWAY, can I tell you this very stupid thing that happened?
Yesterday, we all went to aunty flick's house for dinner
and then after a very long and tiring game of australia monopoly, we came home.
We realised that none of us brought the keys out.
Good thing was that aunty flick had a set of keys
so she lent it to us (Reminds me, I have to return it.)
and so we got home.
and then the stupidity starts.

E: We have to set the alarm right?
Me: no. We are home what.
E: But the alarm is only attached to the door right?
Me: No. The alarm should be motion activated. We never have the alarm on when we are at home remember? We only set it when we leave the house.
As: I think we should set the alarm.
E: Yeah. I remember the one I have at home only goes off when people tamper with doors.
Me: oh well.

3 mins later....
*RIIIING*
As: OH MY! *PANIC*
(I ran up to deactivate the alarm)
Grandpa: WHAT HAPPENED! Don't need to set the alarm!
E: oh. I thought we needed to.
Grandma: No, you are home. You don't need the security.
E: oh. Cause the one I have is only attached to the doors.
Grandma: No no. This one is motion activated.
Me: I said that.

sigh.
almost everyday goes on like that.
LYDIA! COME SOON! I CANT TAKE IT ANY LONGER!

Summer/Autumn cleaning

we cleaned the place today.
TIRING I tell you.
the tiny toilet has the WORST tiles ever and a GLASS shower.
terrible to keep unless you have a maid.
I used almost every spray possible to get the whole toilet spick and span.
Vacuuming the place was much easier.
Yesterday, we went to Woolies to stock up on insect sprays cause of all the stories we have heard.
So we sprayed the WHOLE place down, trying to get it spider, cockroach, flies and MOST importantly, GECKO FREE.
Did the laundry, and then slacked the rest of the day.
The number of spiders and webs you find in a house is AMAZING.
we have 4 daddylonglegs in the 4 corners and a huge spider behind the curtain in my room, one big one in the living room, and a whole lot of others in random corners we don't even wish to explore at the moment.
We will kill them one at a time.

I'm not sure what we plan to do tmw yet..
But we are definitely going out.
I don't think I can stay at home for longer.
It's too boring.
I can't wait till Lydia comes and we get to go to DFO.
THAT would be much more fun.

Just a touch and a twirl, some sparkle and a pearl

Since connection was really bad last night, I decided it was the fault of the router.
SO, today I took the risk and carried the whole router back to Harvey Norman to get it changed.
I prayed really hard they would allow me to change it..
And not only did they allow me, they said if I don't find anything I liked, I could get a full refund!
God is good indeed.
Eliza and I also managed to get our student cards done after an hour and a half long of waiting.
YAY TO HALF PRICE BUS TICKETS! :)

I'm almost settled already.
The mess on my table makes it seem like I've been around for really long even though this is only my 3rd day here.
I'm counting down the days (a bit)..
Can't wait till autumn comes..

sausages and timtams.

I spent half the day in a stupid queue that got me no where.
We decided we should try to get our student cards asap so that we could get concessions BUT the system was down and they only told us after we queued for like 2 hours or something.
I was angry and hungry.
BUT good thing is,
I managed to get a wireless router so that Eliza and I can use the internet at the same time..
We also managed to set up our bank accounts and get our phone numbers :)
tmw, we will be attempting to get student cards again, and do a bit of exploring of the indooroopilly mall :)
I have yet to find the bubble tea store.
msn doesnt seem to work very well with the internet connection though.. for some reason.

I thought I escaped my neighbour's loud footsteps..
but I get louder ones here :( pfft.

Diamonds in the sky

This morning I woke up to make some muah chee.
And then I msged matt to ask where what we should do for the day.
And then suddenly, out of the blue....

Matt: Change into your wet gear.. We're going wakeboarding!
Me: WHAT! ARE YOU SERIOUS?
Matt: Yup! Be at your place in 5mins.

I didnt even have time to put sunblock la!
but it was fun.
The weather was nice and the water was really good (other than being SUPER salty.)

After that I came home to bathe and then took the bus to run errands and attempt to paint my nails in orchard.
On the way there, there was a JAM.
and I had NO seat on the bus.
One hour plus standing = die.
I felt myself blacking out so I stopped at the next stop to sit for a while. (All the inconsiderate males who don't know how to be gentlemanly.Dress so nice to impress your girlfriend but you cant even stand so I CAN SIT.)
The nail parlor was packed even though I called to check and they said they were FREE AS A BIRD. (all these china ppl bluff me)
And then I sharpened my shu uemura brow pencil BUT IT BROKE SO I HAVE TO SHARPEN IT AGAIN.
yep.
I got out of orchard as fast as I could cause everyone was so dressed up with inch-thick makeup and I was in T-shirts and shorts and slippers looking like I just showered and stepped into my living room.
Went to Toa Payoh, discovered that Cleo was out...
50 MOST ELIGIBLE BACHELORS!
but they werent good looking (As usual. oh well.)
and bought my ipod charger...
met matt after his discipleship
HE HAD NOT BATHED. (eww)
and so we went to his house so he could shower.
drank the yummiest herbal soup
ate the yummiest steak(I typed stake) after that at Hog's Breath
and a whole lot of other things
and then I came home to open my vday present andddddddd
You won't believe what he gave me so I won't tell.
It was a great day filled with excitement.
Not just cause its vday.
It's my last day before I leave

I want to bring my mushy pillow over but I have no more space
I still don't feel any emotion regarding me leaving for australia
I need to sleep.

the fat suitcase is 27kilos heavy now.
I havent even packed in my bags, slippers an other random items.
AHHHH..
packing is SUCH A PAIN.
I can't get the stuff to fit into that stupid hard case luggage my mom has for me.
THIS IS ANNOYING ME.
I didnt even bring alot of items.
I think I need a second luggage. though I dont know how I am going to lug the whole thing over.
I DONT CARE! THIS IS NOT FITTING INTO THIS ONE HARDCASED STUBBORN LUGGAGE THAT IS ONLY THIS FIXED SHAPE.
Not even when I have vacuum packed all my clothes.
I'm only bringing half my wardrobe.
though I do realise how much clothes I actually have.
I give up.
Packing will resume tmw.

The Ulcer and the yellow ladybug

I have this huge ulcer at the back of my mouth where we usually chew our food.
This makes chewing really hard.
Yesterday it was so painful that I had trouble eating.
Went to Al Azhar for supper and ordered a cup of warm salt water...
Rinsing my mouth with salt water seemed to ease the pain a little but not enough.
Actually it does feel like I have a toothache rather than and ulcer.
This morning I woke up to noisy neighbors (again.) and a very very VERY painful ulcer.
So I dragged myself out of bed and made salt solution.
Applied some aloe and went back to sleep.
The whole day I've been very sleepy.
Just now on the bus, some indian tried to squeeze into the seat with me and he SAT ON ME.
I was very pissed.
And then he started to fall asleep and his head nodded to my direction almost hitting me.
I was even more pissed.
Anyway, I bought bonjela and I'm waiting for it to work.
I couldn't see my ulcer at first.
I had to use the flashlight on my phone to try to look into my mouth to find it.
All I saw was a huge hole so I decided that was it.
And it was.
It still hurts a whole lot.
Leah had fun pretending she had a mute sister.
The is a yellow ladybug crawling around on the table now..
I think my bonjela might have attracted it.
but aren't ladybugs suppose to be red?
OH NO.
What if bonjela causes mutations.
Maybe I'll turn blue.

Thursday, February 5, 2009

Today is the day I am going to send a letter to my neighbor to tell him how much noise he has been making.
I've been deprived of sleep too much.
Don't the children go to school??
These kids annoy me.

The browning banana

the banana in the kitchen is getting browner by the hour and I'm really sure it'll be inedible tmw
But I really can't bring myself to eat it cause I already brushed my teeth.
and because I went to the dentist today, my teeth is especially clean and nice.
I should document how a banana browns.
So many things have happened lately..
and it really seems like it's getting increasingly hard to leave.
but I'll be fine :)

packing is such a chore and you'll hear me say that for another 11 days.
I haven't really started cause I can't pack my clothes since I'm still wearing them.
Everything else I don't wear is more or less already dumped in the luggage.
I still have to buy my hand luggage or else I have to find some bag I can use as a hand luggage.
I'm on some art project that I've wanted to do for the longest time and now I'm finally doing it cause I actually have a reason to.
I have another art project I want to do but will keep it for next year when I return and find myself jobless and friendless or program-less.

I shall make it a point to take more pictures from now on so that I can blog like debs.
Everyone wants to be debs. heh.

To learn to walk, we need to fall.
For every fall teaches us how not to fall.
Though sometimes falling may leave more than a bump
and sometimes the scar never fades away.
But with every fall we get a little stronger, a little braver, a little better.
