Today I had my very first parent-teacher meeting!!!
The mother of a crying girl came to school to talk to me.
I say "A" because there have been a few..
and I'm getting used to the waterworks.
anyway, it was a LOOONG one hour talk, where she talked for 90% of the time and I nodded for 99% of the time.

oh. and today was swim pe lesson number 1.
I AM AMAZED AT HOW FREE PARENTS ARE NOW ADAYS.
When we were boarding the bus, FOUR MOTHERS CAME WITH US.
It didn't help that all 4 were parents of students in the class I am in charge of.
kids now adays are TOO PAMPERED.

sigh.
I'm tired out.

LONG WEEKEND SOON!! :)

I am now going through the drama that Lydia went through a year ago...

This morning I informed my parents about the fees I have to pay to get my APS accreditation for my degree.
And they asked me to double check if it was truly necessary and that it wasn't a scam.
And I told them that that was the information I got from IDP, UQ, and people who have already gone there.
and then mom said: "Let me check with kong kong first. It is so much money! are you sure that is correct?"

so now its wrong just cause its costing this much?
I feel..... unsupported, or rather, that they don't even trust me..

and so I showed them the email from UQ indicating in black and white my conditions for entry, and mom STILL says that she thinks it is not right.
and so now they want to call the Australian High Court.

seriously, this can be made into a movie.
I don't really feel like going already.

the lost voice

My voice is REALLY gone.
I was trying to give mental sums to the girls today and since they were so quiet, I could hear my voice going wonky...
and I sound like a MAN.
I wonder what would happen if I called in sick.
There would have to be a relief relief teacher.... :)
COOL.

p.s. mysoju is up again! <3

TODAY, I have 7 new blisters (I hate shoes of ALL kinds.) and I made a girl cry :(
I REALLY didn't mean to...
they were suppose to be doing their work!!!
But instead they were talking and playing around.
and then when it was time to hand up, they couldn't.
and so I told them to stay back and do.
AND THEN SHE CRIED!
:(
I don't think I like being a teacher very much.
It's really hard being one.
You have to be fierce enough so that they would listen to you
but you cannot be too fierce if not they would cry and then.... I'll feel upset at myself for being so mean.
and I think my voice is going to sound witch like soon with the shouting and everything...
Today I had 3 and a half hours of class back to back.
I thought I was going to die
And then the girl cried
and I was about to run out of the school and never return...
but I had 7 blisters and that's not very friendly even when you walk...
If there is anything this job has done,
it has given me a new found respect for teachers.

[edit]: oh. and btw, Lydia's back.

after too many meals at macs, marybrowns and burger king,
and all the tao kay noi seaweed and chips and langkawi chocolate
and good food and cakes and desserts...
(I didn't even get to eat A&W when I went to msia and I AM BU FU QI!)
I am sad to say the monthly weigh in at my grandma's place (I have no reliable scales at home) puts me 3kg heavier than at the start of the june holidays.
It is time to resume healthy eating...
I thought of swimming today
but after a day of screaming at kids and walking in heels
I decide I have had enough exercise :P

I am going for a buffet this sat.
Let's see if I can hit the 5kg mark :)

FUN FUN FUN IN THE SUN SUN SUN

I AM BACK!
a week long of being in malaysia, away from BOTH my handphone and my computer has been quite a challenge.
BUT, with great company and a whole lot of fun things to do, it has not been THAT hard.

PICTURES!
Palace of the golden horses: where church camp was.
there were horses EVERYWHERE! EVEN IN THE TOILETS. amazing.
the top of the hotel looked like green onions. but SUPER NICE! the beds were HUGE! and the bathroom of the SIX STAR HOTEL was SOOOOO GRAND <3

After a LONG wait, we finally got to LANGKAWI! :)
The first day was spent settling down and driving around aimlessly, finding our way around.
We ate at this place called FAT MUM'S where the calamari is DELICIOUS.
We also got to see a VERY beautiful sunset...

And play with the waves!

And do the standard JUMP SHOT!
(scott the spoiler. neh jump.)

Then we headed to the night market to check it out.... YUMMY food and DURIANS!

Day 2: BREAKFAST AT THE LOAF!
it is apparently opened by Mahatir...
really good breakfast though.. REALLY REALLY good. :)

And then we went to the waterfall :)
It was good to dip ourselves in the water after a looong climb up.

then we went island hopping.
That wasn't as good as the people made it out to be but it was fun to sit the speed boat and to TAN!! :)

The Pregnant Maiden Island

And the guys went a little mad.

Day 3: GO KARTING! I was the fastest girl and I even managed to beat one guy at it!! :) though after that, my shorts were full of mud cause I skidding through the grass and sent the ground flying :P
(picture once wilko uploads his pictures)
Some of us were waited on hand and foot when we decided to pamper ourselves a little.

We spent the last day working on our tan and just relaxing before heading to the airport...

I had fun. cant wait for the next one!! :)

YESTERDAY was shopping with DEBS.
it was grrrrrrreat cause I managed to buy this sweater I've been eying from cotton on and a new pair of mega huge sunglasses!! (I am thus ready for another session of tanning!)

Just now, Leah and I were drawing up a table to decide whether to go to Sunway Lagoon or to KLCC during our SEVEN HOUR BREAK on the 3rd day of camp...
We listed all the stores that were essential to visit and checked of what each shopping outlet had.
It came down to choosing between Zara and Forever21.
HOW ARE WE TO CHOSE! both are equally essential.

now some guy is telling me about the rain.
And how it is not natural rain
and how it is now harvest time.
and there will be a revival in spore.
It all sounds exciting but I just feel very skeptical.
And I don't really know how to respond when ppl tell me about stuff like that.

My phone is kaput.
I cannot SMS, I can only pick up calls.
And if I were to call anyone, I have to scroll through allllll the names one by one.
If your name starts with an M or an N, expect me never to call.
It's too far both ways.
I just had a really weird dream.
I dreamt that my house was haunted and my mom became a ghost
and when I was taking a nail buffer for cheryl, my room light did not work
and so it was really dark (not that it was scary cause my room is pretty small and its hard for anything to really hide in here considering how packed my closets are)
and then suddenly we see this face at the corner of the room and it was the standard torch in face look...
and it was my mom.
cheryl ran out and so did I BUT I got caught
and then my mom grabbed me and it felt more ticklish than anything..
And the natural response was 'tickle the ghost and it will be scared away'.
don't ask me why that was natural.
anyway I tickled my mom but it didnt work
and then I woke up with the feeling that i was still being tickled.
It was hard to wake up cause I was really sleepy
and I had to force myself to wake up cause the tickling was getting a bit unbearable.
and i grabbed my com which was already on cause I fell asleep while watching korean drama
and I blogged the above.
I shall change my position before I sleep so that I'll be able to change dream.
I don't know how come changing position of sleep leads to a change of dreams but it works for me, somehow.

I am drained.
Korean dramas are really tiring to watch.
GET TOGETHER AND BE HAPPY ALREADY AND STOP SUSPECTING EACH OTHER.
no more korean dramas for...... an hour.
My amygdala needs a break.
The guys aren't even cute anymore.
Every time the worship leader leads a song about the willingness for God to send us to the ends of the earth, or to SEND ME, I don't sing.
Because I cannot do what the lyrics say.
If I sang, I would be lying.
And You know.
So why are You asking me this?
Her words break my heart.
I know how much it would mean to her and to the people... and You.
But the request put before me is too great.
I feel sick in my stomach.

Jonathan Ong Chung Siong, you better watch out.

THIS is the full story.
Thursday morning, my mom woke me up at about 7 plus, 8am (I didnt check the clock for the time but my sis was about to go to school so should be around there) to ask me if I had seen my sister's newly bought mechanical pencil. and so I pointed it out to her and attempted to go back to sleep. I had only went to sleep at 4 plus due to the exciting korean drama serial I was watching.
My neighbours were killing cows and chickens upstairs as usual, so I put on my ear plugs and resumed my beauty sleep.
I did not hear my alarm ring due to the powerful army grade earplugs sponsored by Walter,
And I also did not hear my phone ring as JonOng was calling.
Only when my mom came in to wake me did I realise it was already 1030am.
I was suppose to meet Jon AT 1030am.
SO I called to APOLOGIZE and I washed up and rushed out of the house.
I GOT TO MACS IN 15 MINUTES OKAY?
I have never done that before.
but tts also because I've never overslept so badly before.
THUS, since this is my first time, I should be forgiven. right? heh.

anyway, at night, I went to meet debs to go to the pasar malam at her house.
Pasar Malams NEVER come to bukit timah.
We were thus very VERY excited about it.
JonOng wanted to buy socks but did not want to make a trip down to FIND OUT if there were socks there and so we had to go first to see if there was to assure that he wont make a 'wasted trip'.
JonOng who DROVE took sooooo long to come.
and hence, that made debs and i walk around so much we bought so many useless things.
After that we went to deb's place to play WIIIIIIIIIIII!! she has new games :) which i'm not very good at :(
we also had DURIAN! yum yum YUM.
but spoilt sport JON ONG did not want to eat any durian and left early to do music theory homework.
but we had fun ANYWAY.

so that's the true unbiased story.

When life gives you lemons, cut them in half and rub them on your elbows and knees.

I'm so tired of answering questions like: "When are you going to UQ? Has it been confirmed?"
Is everyone really looking forward to knowing that I'm leaving for sure?
I should just GO NOW.
The sales in Brisbane is much better than GSS anyway.
And the Emo Movie of the Year award goes to............
The Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian.

I LOVED it.
The show and all the yummy people in it, who by the way have
BRITISH ACCENTS.
HOT x 100000000000000000000000000000000000000
Ben Barnes as Prince Caspian

William Moseley as High King Peter

and Skandar Keynes as King Edmund

EXCITE! I wonder if there'll be a sequel to it.
After a whole day of excitement, tmw shalt be my day of rest.
I need it. The flu bug has officially begun its attack.
I wish the Kings of the past could come and save me.............
