2gether 4ever and never to part

And so Christmas is over and I haven't uploaded pictures..
I've been really packed with activity the past few days..
and will be for some time more...
But I totally enjoy it for now..
There is a nagging at the back of my mind to get my appeal done..
but then I have till 16th Jan to complete it sooooooo...
pfft.
BUT, i need to get it done so that my supervisor can look and approve it and do editions too...
so yes.

Today I spent the day cooking and entertaining people..
Met mark and Joe at 8.30 this morning for a quick breakfast AT THE BUKIT TIMAH MARKET :D
I haven't had cheap food since I came back..
so I WAS REALLY HAPPY WITH $1.60 CHEE CHIONG FUN AND $0.80 TAO HUI :D
then we headed to GIANT to get ingredients for today's meals.
came back and started cooking RIGHT AWAY...
then the kids came and had lunch..
made Chicken Parmagiana for lunch today..
and then they played Cranium while I fell fast asleep..
Woke up to cook dinner..
which was pork chops with pear and onion chutney...
everything went really well despite this being the first time I'm cooking for more than 10 people..
REALLY thank God nothing burnt and nothing was horribly bad tasting :D
Isaiah brought along his Wii and we watched as the kids played a REALLY ENTERTAINING dancing game..
hahaha..
I'm glad shing and sumit decided to drop by because I would have been really bored without them :D
I've been awake for too long today..
I have to sleep.

I have been SO behind in posts!!!
I recently reformatted my com and FORGOT TO TRANSFER THE RECENT PHOTOS INTO MY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE!!
sad.
So I lost like a few days of pictures :(
But I promise to take a whole lot more over the christmas season because of the MANY MORE PARTIES :)
Met up with Adeline today for lunch :)
Feels strange to see her in Singapore.. haha...
I MISS BRISBANE A WHOLE LOT MORE AFTER TALKING TO HER!
Was telling her about how my Thesis screwed up and how I plan to apply for jobs in Brisbane..
I am half hoping I'll get a place in Brisbane so that I can go back to life there...
Although I know then when I'm there, I'll start missing Singapore..
The grass is always greener on the other side....
Supper tonight with the NUS gang!!
I miss them so much..
We used to have gatherings in Amanda's place with guitar hero..
I wish I could rewind to those days once in a while...........
oh well...

I have been hooked to a facebook game called Cafe World..
It's really quite fun!!
It's better fun than restaurant city because you earn money a little faster and it doesn't involve having to visit countless people to find rubbish you can click on.

As you can see, despite being sisters in real life, we are really of different racial origins in cafe world..

Leah and I don't look much different.. so we could still be sisters..

Last night, some of us hung out at timbre...
It was great fun..
We were observing how this guy slowly moved in to get this girl..
quite genius actually..
Either that or the girl is really quite dumb..

So Choobs finally uploaded the pictures of the some of the food I made while in Australia..
First up, Ribs!

Leah doesn't believe I made these.. BUT I DID.
Main witnesses: Lydia and Choobs.
It was a pretty long process so Lydia got a bit cranky while waiting for them to be ready..
Then we have the pork chop with onion and pear chutney..
the chutney was really really yummy...
and it was the item that gave flavour to the whole dish..
everything else was just as is..
no flavouring or marinades added :)
Then we have the PAO!

It was really yummy, but the other two kids didn't like eggplant so it was a one time dish.

Khansama!

Today we ventured into the ulu parts of Singapore in search of good food~
haha..
I consider Biopolis at Buona Vista Ulu because even though it's there, no one REALLY goes there.
The day started with Geri and I leaving 938502 missed calls on LiangLin's phone..
and having no response from him after trying for almost half an hour (see how patient we were??)
we decided to begin our journey in search of the mystical Khansama in one of the strangely named buildings of Biopolis.
It was FREAKING HOT and we walked the long way because we were noobs and we didn't realise there was a shorter way in.
but we eventually found the place! :)
It was a buffet of Indian food priced at a very affordable S$9.90!
The next time I go I would probably eat ala cart instead of the buffet because most of the curries ended up tasting pretty strange
But one of the chicken dishes was REALLY YUMMY!
So I didn't regret the buffet choice.
Rachel and Daphne came soon after and we started our lengthy discussion on makeup!
how good is it to have some time away from the guys ;)

We were having such a good time we forgot that Rachel had to return to work..

then Daph had to go for tuition..
Geri and I walked around and ended up at the basement of heeren for dessert..

witches and brooms in December.

While killing a cockroach the other day I came to realise that we have A LOT of brooms in our house!
(you can compare the skinni-ness of leah's legs relative to the broomstick. hahaha... )
And apparently, there use to be a whole lot more...

Today, we went over to have lunch with the old Hangs
and then we went out :)
On the LOOOOONG bus ride,
we had a bit of fun taking stupid pictures...





we managed to make mommy hang play along..

While taking her picture we tried to direct her..
close your mouth! not so wide! eyes bigger! BIGGER! BIGGER! NO! LOOK INNOCENT! NOT FIERCE!
SUPER fun.
We realised that the larger her eyes the more she looks like she's about to scold us...

went to the new f21 at 313@somerset after that..

then we split and Leah and I met koon to get a guitar


debated a little over whether or not to meet some of the guys from church for dinner
but ended up having dinner on our own as we had some shopping to do too (for mommy hang)..
tried out this new eating place called Xin Wang taiwanese cafe or something..
not fantastic.


I prefer the hongkong cafe because the milk tea is AWESOME
and it comes in old school tin cups
and I love the maggie mee and luncheon meat thing even though its such a waste of money to eat that from there I KNOW don't need to tell me
Came home early because my eyes were itching again.
stupid eye infection.

ON ANOTHER TOTALLY DIFFERENT NOTE,
I have found the most awesome mascara!
I am going to throw away all my other mascaras (though I only really have 2 others)
and just buy this one.

Fasio Hyper Stay Mascara Deep Trick (Curl and Volume)

I know the name is SUPER LONG...
but it is SUPER AWESOME!!
It's like they had a brainstorming session over what to name the mascara and then couldn't decide what to put into the name because it does wonderful things that people want in a mascara and so the name ended up being this long.
The curl stayed the WHOLE DAY!
like STAYED AS IN REALLY STAYED.
It didn't even droop a little bit.
I could actually see my lashes in my photo!!
I have cropped it to SHOW YOU.
(excuse the really gross brows. I don't know why they are so jagged.)
the volume isn't clumpy which is awesome but it doesn't give any length at all.
You can choose to have the curl and length instead if you don't want the volume..
but I didn't really care about length...
Didn't want my lashes to look long but sparse.

Much has been happening lately.
ALOT ALOT.
The biggest thing has to be finding out that my supervisor has been HOSPITALIZED due to a stroke and hence cannot address my appeal until I don't know when.
Much prayer is needed at this time..
I'm leaving everything in God's hands now..
If God's plan is for me to stay with the stupid grade then so be it.
But I have to thank God for great friends and an awesome family who have been so supportive and wonderful :D

So anyway, I was facebook stalking and I came across this photo.
And I am going to dub it PHOTO OF THE YEAR because it made me laugh like never before....

Bollywood Ramly

Finally met up with the girls after a year of being apart!!
saw them in the middle of the year but we did not manage to have a gathering with all four of us..
so now we are 'making up' for the lost time.
We met on friday for lunch at a VERY VERY ULU place called Bollywood Veggies!
The food was AWESOME.
it was a very wet and rainy day but good thing Drea had the car so we were sheltered :)
Will DEFINITELY return to bollywood veggies again soon!!
the food is seriously awesome..
and it wasn't pricey at all!






After lunch, we said we should go to malaysia some time and then we just decided on Monday as the day to go.
AND SO TODAY, we all hopped onto 170 from different bus stops, and made our way to malaysia..
we stayed pretty much near the causeway because we did not have the time and the means to travel further into the country..
but it was FUN FUN FUN!
Laughed a whole lot
ate a whole lot...
had RAMLY BURGER!!
which I have been craving since I cannot remember when!
And bought quite a number of things too!!
Thought I spent ALOT but once I converted it to Sing Dollars, it ended up to be less than 60 bucks for the whole day!!
surprise surprise!!




Because of all the fun I've been having, I haven't done stuff I am supposed to do..
like go get my basic theory done
and apply for my jobs
and get a spare computer charger.
I will SOON!

Yesterday, Lydia and Leah introduced me to the world of clubbing..
we went to Zouk!
Lyd and I forgot our ID cards and we sneaked in using her friend's ID card..
SO EXCITING!
hahaha..
but I guess the guy also knew we were FAR from being underaged..
There was MAMBO which was really fun because we didn't know a lot of the steps and looked ridiculous trying to follow the MAMBO KING..
Lydia and her friends were quite good at it though...
Leah and I were struggling...





Today we brought my grandparents out for an outing to Orchard road to look at the christmas lights..
My grandpa was starting to talk about death very frequently
so we thought we would cheer him up and bring him out :)
He thoroughly enjoyed himself :D
We brought them for dinner at Din Tai Feng,
walked around a bit
and then we went to Swensens for Ice cream...
I found out my grandparents REALLY love Ice cream...
especially my grandma..
she ate the most Ice cream :)
And her favourite flavour is STRAWBERRY!
